Flipgrid Video
I learned a lot while taking this class. I learned about the educational community on Twitter, about a flipped classroom, how to create videos for my students and parents, blogging, and so much more. One of the ISTE standards that I met was 1a. Set professional learning goals to explore and apply pedagogical approaches made possible by technology and reflect on their effectiveness. That is exactly what I did during this whole class. I learned about many different types and usages of technology and reflected on them on my blog. I also met standard 5a. Use technology to create, adapt, and personalize learning experiences that foster independent learning and accommodate learner differences and needs. My curriculum video helped me meet this standard.
One of the most useful tools from this class was Twitter. I really loved the educational community that I established on Twitter. I got different resources, videos, laughs, and inspiration from educators all around the world. This will continue to benefit me as a teacher both now and in the future. I also loved screencastify. I have used this before, but getting a refresher and getting new ideas was great.
I will use most of what I learned from this class in the future. I will continue to use Twitter, screencastify, animoto, and flipgrid in my classroom. I might look into creating a classroom twitter for class updates and communication with parents. I enjoyed making the animoto video and I think I will continue to use that website for my students and parents as well.
Linked, you will find my Flipgrid reflection video.
