Curriculum Video
Linked, you will find my Curriculum Video for my second grade class. I decided to make my video over 3-digit addition after asking my students their opinion. They said that I should record a math lesson because that is their favorite subject, so I did. They have been working so hard and wanted to show off their skills. The process of making this video was challenging as I was not the one recording my lesson, and I had to make sure that I got all of the different camera angles. Putting the video together was also a challenge with recording my narration, adding music, and making sure I had the required video and picture amount. Overall, this project was a challenge, but it was a challenge that taught me a great deal about myself as an educator.
Hi, Ms. Fluent! I am providing your feedback for your curriculum video. I really enjoyed it, and I really like that you brought your students into it. I'm sure they really enjoyed that! I brought my high school kids into my video, and they were excited to help, so I'm sure your 2nd graders really loved it! I thought your video was really good. The music that you selected fits well into the video, and the shots of you teach and students working/learning was great to see. The only thing that I could think to add would have been a graphic on the side that walks through the steps as you are going. This would help the viewer to visualize which step they are on as you explain the process. Again, I think you have done a nice job, and you seem to be a great teacher. Well done!

ReplyDeleteHello, Ms. Fluent! I enjoyed your curriculum video! I thought you designed it very well and it was put together in an organized way. I thought your narration was great and your music fit well to the video. However, what stood out to me was how passionate you are about teaching. Your students are incredibly lucky to have you and to teach such valuable lessons such as "I can't yet". I love how you let your littles sit on the classroom floor during math time. I think that is a great way to provide a more flexible learning option to the students.
